the garage sale
We had a garage sale for the friends of Himalayan children team K2k...............................
On the 23rd of June we had our Garage sale for the fundraising of fruit trees. When Bec went to Nepal she had asked the children to what they wanted to have fruit trees for them. So we were going to fund raise for fruit trees. We had planned to raise $150. The fundraising event was at 16 gannet st at 7:00 ton 11:00.
Lots of people had came in to look and buy things that we had to sell. By the time we had finished people were still coming in to buy things. We also were doing the 100's board and that day was the day that we were going to draw the number/winner of the $100 prize. The winner is Diane. She had won the $100.
CONGRATULATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next fundraising event
Our next event for our Team K2K we will be doing a hundred's board and another toy sale.
On 10/03/2012 we had a meeting at McDonald about our next fundraising event. We were going to do the toy sale, cupcake sale and car wash. But we don't have a public liberty so instead we had to change it into a 100's board and a toy sale. A 100's board is were a big cardboard with 1-100 in rows. Someone will pay 5 dollars to put there name down and phone number. Then when the hundreds board is full then we put numbers from 1-100 and put them in a hat we will pull a number and the number which is on the board to what we pull, the person get a prize. We hope to fund raise for fruit trees in Nepal.
thank you for all this support. If you would like to look at the friends of Himalayan children's website please head to www.f-hc.org

Hannah & Lara's first K2K meeting
My sister Lara (6) and I went to our first K2K meeting, because we want to help children in Nepal. It was really good to meet the other kids. Bec had been to Batase, a small village in Nepal, and she said the kids there would like to plant fruit trees, and it would cost $300. I said we could sell cupcakes in front of a shop, and Harry said we could wash cars too. There are still toys left from a garage sale we could sell. We will do it on Saturday the 21st of April. Our next meeting will be at Maccas
I really want to help other children. My Dad has been telling me how lucky we are in Cairns, and we should always try to help others. One day, I want to go to Nepal and see the village and play with the children.
